There are always two sides to every issue. Though many great things can come from being obedient to your friends, families and even the government, many great things also can come from being disobedient. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X proved this. By being disobedient and following their strong beliefs, they made opportunities for African Americans that no imagined. Both became the image of the African- American culture and had a great influence on black Americans. Malcolm X’s despair about life was reflected in his angry belief that equality was impossible because whites had no moral conscience.
