Joy: what does this word mean, how do you have it, or where can you find it. People everywhere ask themselves these questions whether they are seeking it or not. Most think to obtain this feeling; you must first go through a certain obstacle or hardship. Others use and buy materials items to fill in the spot where joy should be. Today the word is defined as "the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying (Dictionary). believe that happiness is the same thing, but in retrospect, it is not. Joy is not a trick or an illusion; it is there just as clear as day. Some may disagree only because maybe their joy happens when they are not paying attention to it. As I mentioned before buying things does not cause it, but it is an endless waste of time and money. Going to stores to pick up the new game, clothes of this season, or mainly the iPhone that comes out every year is only temporary. This is done over again and again and pretty soon the feeling of "happiness" fades and you are back to square one. "If you want to be happy, forget yourself. Forget all of it: how you look, how you feel, how your career is going. Just drop the whole subject of you" (Crichtion). I think what he is trying to say is that you cannot reach joy if you are so focused on yourself.
