Karol Wojtyla
Karol Josef Wojtyla was born on May 18, 1920 in Wadowice, Poland. He had two parents, Karol Wojtyla and Emilia Kackorowska. Karol was baptized June 20, by Father Franciszek Zak. His father was a Lieutenant in the Polish army, and his mother was a school teacher. He also had a brother, Edmund Wojtyla that was fourteen years older than him. Karol�s parents raised their sons in a Roman Catholic religion. Their family was strict when it came to their religion. They thought it was part of being a Pole.
