Have you ever asked yourself, why are there so many people out there in this world who lack of moral values? This is obviously caused by the lack of moral education from the very beginning of their lives. People are raised in different environments were vices have become very common. Nowadays, people only focus on getting material goods to find temporary happiness. In this essay I will compare two literary master pieces; Everyman and The Metamorphosis. Gregor Samsa, “a traveling salesman and the protagonist of the story. Gregor hates his job but keeps it because of the obligations he feels to pay off his father’s debt and care for his family. He has transformed into a large bug and spends the rest of his life in that state. Although ugly and unrecognizable to others, Gregor retains his some of his inner life and struggles to reconcile his lingering humanity with his physical condition (sparknotes).” As we read this story and analyze it, we all know that Gregor did really care about his family and he was the only one working to support the whole family.
