The Lufthansa heist has gone down to be the biggest robberies in the U.S. The Robbery was done at the John F. Kennedy International airport on December 11[th] 1978. A total of 5 million dollars and $875,000 worth of jewels were stolen. Louis Werner was a supervisor of the Lufthansa Airlines. He was the brains behind the robbery. Being able to prove that Jimmy, Tommy and Frank were behind the robbery would take more than that. They needed some type of forensic evidence or to have someone talking about what went down which no one at the time was doing.
