Persuasion is something that blinds men's purest intention and thoughts. For in William Shakespeare's Macbeth there are many instances where it reveals how far each character will go to satisfy their greed due to the pressure of persuasion. In the play, it shows how persuasion can turn the character into the monster they thought they would never become whether it be because they have their greatest goal is just out of reach or their manhood be threatened.

Macbeth to commit horrendous acts. One example of persuasion was when the witches appear to Macbeth and provided him with a sense of hope that he will become king. The third witch tells Macbeth, "all hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter", ( Macbeth 1.3.57), which persuaded Macbeth into taking action to kill the people he did. The witches convince Macbeth that Banquo will be greater than him. The first witch states, "Lesser than Macbeth and greater", (1.3.68) which corrupts Macbeth's mind that his one true best friend was a threat to him.
Macbeth, in Act iii scene 3, is utterly convinced by the witches prophecies and he fears mostly their prediction that Banquo's kids would be future kings of Scotland. Macbeth hires two assassins to murder Banquo and his son to stop his future descendants of obtaining the throne.
