Macbeth

Based off of the information given, it can be concluded that Macbeth suffered from the mental disorders, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The well renowned play, "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare, begins the epic tale with three witches that prophesy to the main character, Macbeth, about becoming the king of Scotland. As the play continues, it is said that he assassinates the former king, King Duncan, to pursue the prophecy of becoming king.
"Schizophrenia", as defined by (Gale Encyclopedia of Genetic Disorders 2), "is a psychotic disorder marked by several impaired thinking, emotions, and behaviors". Macbeth first ...

In the light of Macbeth, it is easy to see that he also suffered from another mental disorder called bipolar disorder. "Bipolar disorder is a condition in which people go back and forth between periods of a very good or irritable mood and depression" (A.D.A.M. Medical Encyclopedia).
