Macbeth's Tragic Flaw

In William Shakespeare's Macbeth, combined with the outside pressures bring about the dramatic transformation of the main character, the tragic hero, from a courageous man with great potential into a killer. In the beginning of the play, Macbeth is a heroic warrior willing to fearlessly fight for his country. His darker side is detected, but not yet fully shown . He gradually changes to a selfish, power-hungry king who is driven solely by his ambition and the Macbeth is more fully developed, but he is no longer brave, loyal, honest, or trustworthy. Eventually, Macbeth dies an honorable death and it is clear that Macbeth's flaw is truly tragic.

3 of Act I when Macbeth believes the witches' prophesies and is determined to see them come true, while Banquo is somewhat skeptical of the three witches.
The outside pressures Macbeth faces, stemming from the witches, and Lady Macbeth, sets off his tragic flaw ambition. The prophecies made by the witches only make Macbeth more anxious for them to be fulfilled and push his already vaulting ambition even further. Lady Macbeth, another outside pressure of Macbeth, also greatly affects his tragic decision. Lady Macbeth assists Macbeth in the fatal decision of whether he should kill Duncan and become King or not. She doesn't think that Macbeth can do the deed on his own, She feels that Macbeth has enough ambition but fears that he will not follow through with it because he is too kind and still is ruled by his morals. Now Lady Macbeth wants to become evil herself in order to aid Macbeth in the process since, according to her, Macbeth is incompetent.
