Man and Wife

The Old Man in “Old Man” began the task of making decisions on how people shall live on this earth. He came up with many great ideas that would set the tone of how we would live. The only problem was that he came up the idea but the old woman would correct it or maybe improve upon it. By the old woman having the second say she would change the suggestion of the old man and develop her own idea of how to do things or of how things will be decided.
In the beginning the ideas of the Old Man were sound but the improvements made by the Old Woman where better. The Old Man suggested that people would have eyes and mouths but they would be straight up and down. Although eyes and mouths where ...

and a lot more convenient to cry and eat. Another idea that was improved upon by the old woman was the idea of ten fingers on each hand. The idea of having 10 fingers on each hand would make for beautiful music and great piano play. The Old Woman was right by saying they would be in the way. Imagine having 10 fingers and no thumbs, it would be difficult to pick up items and it would make for expensive gloves. So by deciding to have 4 fingers and a thumb on each hand the old woman improved upon the idea of hands and our use of them.
The next idea that was improved upon by the Old Woman was the idea of life and death. The old Man wanted people to die for four days and then come to life again. While this idea sounds great in theory, could you imagine the overpopulation in the world. The consumption that would take place in a world where people didn’t die forever would be catastrophic.
