Mastering the skill of SELF MOTIVATION

My definition of self-motivation is:

The ability to motivate yourself, and being consistent without giving up.
All people should master this skill but few people have it. Most people's minds are sometimes tormented by negativity and anxiety. Everyone goes through bouts of doubt and depression. What keeps the motivated people motivated is the ability to keep moving forward.
I like to believe lack of confidence is a big issue in self-motivation. If someone tells you that you are a loser, that repeats in your mind and you think "why bother"!

to your atmosphere. Another motivation hindrance is lack of focus. If you don't know what it is you want to do, then how can you do anything? When you only think about what you want, you mind creates explanations for why you haven't already got it. This starts a negative thought pattern. The old negative feelings start to creep back in and you think of all kinds of excuses why you can do things. You tend to make bad decisions and make up reasons not to succeed.
I believe fear is also a motivation killer. The fear that you will die, or you will lose someone close to you. The fear of losing that great job, or doing badly on an interview. The fear of not having enough money to pay the bills, or the thought of getting sick with no one to take care of you.
I believe that there is a small chance that without any motivation you cannot succeed. Motivation is what keeps us going and doesn't let us slack off or hold back on something. The more motivation a person has I believe the more ...
