The book titled “Of Mice and Men,” by John Stienbeck, shows us the life, dreams and friendship of two ranchers, George and Lenny. They travel together from ranch to ranch, running from the trouble that follows them. They remain in search of the ranch of their dreams and an escape of the ranches of the past.
George and Lenny had one dream, to own a ranch. They strive to be their own bosses. The only thing keeping the dream of the ranch alive was the friendship that George and Lennie share. Also while talking to other ranchers George reflects on a time when he and Lennie were working together for the first time. George told Lennie to jump into the lake, he did and nearly drowned. George jumped in and saved him. Lennie was so grateful that he had forgotten that George was the one who told him to jump in. George knows how feeble minded and kind Lennie is and that he needs supervision. Probably if Lennie didn’t need as much supervision thay wouldn’t have spent as much time together and their friendship wouldn’t be as solid.
