Mohenjo-Daro

The Mohenjo-Daro was the largest of the four ancient urban civilizations. Mohenjo-Daro means Mound of the dead. The city was built around 2600 BCE. It was found in Sind, Pakistan. The city was one of the most developed cities in South Asia, during its peak. Most homes were made of red bricks; the bricks were baked in an oven called a kiln. Some houses where two story’s and had bathrooms with toilets. The citadel mound uncovered a large building with a specially designed water tank usually referred to as the “Great Bath.” The Great Bath was where people went to bathe.
