dinner and drinks, Dr. Sheppard was called in to the hospital on account of a young boy who had been ran over by vehicle. After failing to save the young child’s life, he returned home. Marilyn and their guests had already put heir children to bed. The couples enjoyed each other’s company while watching the movie Strange Holiday on the television. Having had a rather wearisome day, Dr. Sheppard began to drift off to sleep. Marilyn gestured to Samuel that it would be alright if he laid on the day bed located in the living room. Sheppard did just that and when the movie ended around midnight, Dr. Sheppard was fast asleep when Marilyn showed their friends the door.

The series events that occurred next was told by Sheppard.
