According to the anonymous proverb, “character, like tea, reveals strengths in hot water,” meaning, what does the character do when faced with conflict. In the novel, , by John Steinbeck, George shows his strengths in two ways, one was taking on Lennie and the second was to slay Lennie at the end. And in the play Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, Romeo is also considered to be a strong character for two reasons also, one was against all odds, falling in love with his parents worst enemies’ daughter.
