in their relationships. Through his actions in the book, Lago manages to convince Othello that Desdemona was unfaithful with his suspicious evidence. Lago is a very smart character that has a lot of determination to achieve what he intends. He manages to vent his anger to Cassio whom he feels shouldn’t have been promoted. He also manages to kill Emilia and convince Othello to kill Desdemona and Cassio. Indeed his influence is of great impact on the real tragedy (Shakespeare).
Lago says that he will never speak again when he says, “..."Demand me nothing. What you know, you know. From this time forth I never will speak word." This is after the tragedy of death has already taken place and all seem to have emanated from his words. Lago seems to have realised that it is indeed his constant plans that have led to the tragedies. It seems that he knows that he is the one to blame for the deaths and the sad ending.
