They are many features in an early medieval monastic site. They are a lot of early medieval monastic sites in Ireland. Such as Clonmacnoise in Co. Offaly, Glendalough in Co. Wicklow, Inis Cealtra in Co. Clare, Kells in Co. Meath and many more. Monastic sites show us the celtic churches rich, cultural and historical past. Monastic sites have a stronh influence in Europe, as they allowed for educational and artistical development. The foundations for these monastic sites were built in the sixth century.
