Personal Writing: My Holiday

It was a gloomy day and there was nothing much I could do aside from cleaning my room. I chose to do that because my mother had been nagging me about the state of my room for the past week or so. I started off by clearing up the mess from my study table. First, I threw away all the unwanted papers and chocolate wrappers lying all over the place. Next, I arranged all my books in a neat pile and as I opened one of the drawers to keep them, I noticed an old photo album. I kept the books in the drawer and opened the album. It has photographs of me when I was about three years old.

a monkey in the trees. The scenery was beautiful as the train passed between two mountains. There were trees on either side and I kept on running from one side of the train to another to count the number of monkeys that I could spot during the train ride.
It was an exhausting journey. We got to the hotel, picked up the room keys from the reception and went to sleep immediately as it was late at night and we had already had dinner.
The next day, my mother woke me up at eight in the morning. I rushed to the bedroom window, looked outside and saw that it was drizzling.
