Prejudice is something that if you understand the truth behind it and the facts then you can possibly overcome it. Many people are being prejudiced without out even realising the harm it can cause, so maybe you should never judge a person until you contemplate things from his or her point of view. There are many sources out there that help people to understand why prejudice exists such as To Kill a Mockingbird, The First Bloke and last but not least The Ringer. To understand prejudice you have to understand the types of it such as Racism, Social Status, Sexism and Disability.

quote shows us that coloured people are racist as well but this may be because they assume that Caucasians are going to be racist back. Also from this quote we can see that Lee has used the Jargon technique which shows us that coloured people may speak differently to white people therefore be judged on that, but coloured people could just be brought up by speaking like that so that's something white people would have to try and understand before even thinking about judging someone and being racist towards them.

Social status is another major type of prejudice where people should try and understand the facts behind it. Once again in Lee's novel she shows a great amount of social status prejudice.
