principal needs to inspect and be more curious of what students have in their lockers. Importantly, according to the 2004 study done by the national center on addiction and substance abuse, parents generally approve locker searches. For this reason principals should respect the judgment of the parents as an important reason to inspect lockers. My last point to show why locker searches are needed includes why weapons can also be a significant safety hazard for the learning experience of students.
To prevent any dangerous situations from happening principals need to also check for weapons that can be stored in lockers.
