Fear is something that everyone has experienced in their life, but what is it? Fear: â€śa distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc. Whether the threat is real or imaginedâ€ť (Dictionary.com). This is something that the characters in William Goldingâ€™s novel, â€śthe Lord of the Fliesâ€ť constantly demonstrate as well as how fear has the ability to control impulses and instincts.
