Review Of Citizen Kane

Citizen Kane was written and directed by Orson Welles. This
classic masterpiece was completed in the 1940’s. It uses film as an art
form to energetically communicate and display a non-static view of life -
its components include unconventional lighting, inventive use of shadows,
deep-focus shots from extreme foreground to extreme background, low-angle
shots revealing ceilings, sparse use of close-ups, and the frequent use of
transitionary dissolves and long, uninterrupted sequence shots.
