Websters defines the word "strong" as "forceful & powerful," but strength can be much more than how many push-ups you can do or how fast you can run. Strength can also be in the form of mental strength, or the ability to make rational decisions in the face of adversity. In William Shakepeare's classic tragedy, Romeo & Juliet, mental strength plays a very prominent role. In the play, Romeo obviously has more physical stength than Juliet, but does he have more mental strength?
Juliet and Romeo show us early and often their weaknesses and strengths. This promise of Juliet's proves how much tougher her parents are relative to Romeo's,
