Romeo and Juliet Paper

One of the most famous plays in history, Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare settles in the middle ages; Verona, Italy. In this town there are two houses, the two family names are the Capulet’s and the Montague’s. These two houses do not get along; causing feud between the two families. Besides the Capulet’s and Montague’s who cause conflicts, the two main characters in the play Romeo and Juliet end up falling in love with one another. The catch is that Romeo is a Montague and Juliet is a Capulet. Too many people in both houses do not think that this is happening but Romeo and Juliet will do whatever it takes to stay together. In the beginning of the play, before Romeo and Juliet meet he was with this girl named Rosaline. Romeo did love her but unfortunately she did not love him. Romeo became very depressed after he found out that Rosaline did not feel the same way. Mercutio does not like Romeo being depressed and continues to frustrate Mercutio. Mercutio tries to cheer up Romeo by telling him there are, “other fish in the sea.” Mercutio is a devoted friend and will do anything for Romeo. After Romeo meets Juliet, he becomes very happy and is back to his normal state.
Mercutio has an interesting personality with his use of language throughout the play. Mercutio tells the truth, while everyone is hopeful about love; Mercutio focuses on the physical aspect of it. His perspective on love definitely overturns the example of perfect love in Romeo and Juliet. People might wonder how Mercutio and Romeo are such great friends ...

Without Mercutio’s death the play would obviously turned out to be a different conclusion but the death of Mercutio makes the play of Romeo and Juliet. If Romeo told Mercutio that he was in love with Juliet then there would have been probable advice for Mercutio to tell Romeo about marrying Juliet. Maybe if Romeo listened to Mercutio of what he thought then there is a possibility no one would have been killed. No one would think that Mercutio was the face of the play.
