True Love?

The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, is presumably the greatest love story of all time. A member of two feuding families fall madly in love with each other. Against all odds, their love grows, overcoming obstacles such as secrecy, banishment, betrayal, and death. The story takes place in Verona, Italy where the Montagues and the Capulets live. Both these families have children, Romeo the Montague and Juliet the Capulet. Both, Romeo and Juliet, are widely accepted as possessing a true love, but this is not so. really cares about Romeo's emotional health. Romeo went to see Rosaline, and later agreed to look at other girls. He is feeling lonesome, so he needed to meet another girl. When he is at the party, he is feeling insecure, so he is wanting to fall in love with someone. His depression causes him to fall in love with Juliet.
Romeo is in love with Rosaline and he is also in love with Juliet. Even though Romeo falls in love with Juliet, he is still in love with Rosaline. He doesn't care who he is in love with, as long as he is in love. He does not truly love anyone, because he is in "love" with two people at the same time. Romeo had loved Rosaline for a long time. Through the years his love for Rosaline grew. He could not all of a sudden love someone else. Mercutio tells Romeo he was "in love with love itself" (Act I, Scene 4, Lines 1-79).
