A number of significant features and events, such as Nicholas ll’s personal characteristics, the Russo-Japanese war and Bloody Sunday significantly weakened Tsarist rule. The year of 1912 sparked the emergence of many more rebellions and a significant rise in the number of strikes, and this year had a significant impact on Tsarist rule, and fuelled discontent and anger towards the regime, which contributed to the eventual downfall of the Tsarist regime in 1917.
