In the story "Sánchez" written by Richard Dokey, home is seen as a emotional place where people are happy. The story is about a man named Juan Sánchez who is in search of a home throughout most of the story. His wife died when she gave birth to their child, and he was truly hurt by that. After that, he spent most of his time searching for a real home, but he could never seem to be as happy as he was when he was with his wife. Finally, at the end of the book, Dokey writes, "But of course on that score they were mistaken. Juan Sánchez had simply gone home(6)."
