It is one thing to read about global cultures, issues, and events that occur each and every day; it is quite another thing to actually experience the climate in which these cultures, issues, and events take place. For instance, reading the newspaper, watching CNN, or even taking a class about foreign policy in China will help me understand it better. However, the best way for me to fully be aware of it is to live it, to experience it first hand.

but I will also feel the differences. This is the best way for me to form opinions about what I feel is right and wrong, and for me to discuss the issue knowledgeably.

It will be interesting to take classes about Chinese government and then actually apply the knowledge I have learned to a real-life situation. It will also be interesting to see how the Chinese people react to this issue and to understand their feelings, and to see how a country might become divided by two different forms of government. I think this experience will open up a door to a new world that I might otherwise never get to see or experience.
