The world seems to be divided by two realms of reality and experience. Reality and fantasy, dreams and spirituality, and expectations we sometimes cannot seem to comprehend. Everyday we switch back and forth through these worlds, either concluding with the feeling of accomplishment or disappointment. Raymond Carver and Denis Johnson dig into these experiences throughout their short stories.
