What would an athlete do to win? What risks would he or she take? If he or she take steroids to win or be “the greatest” what would it all cost? Steroids set bad examples for teenagers and younger generations. Using these substances can damage someone’s health and can put an athlete at risk for many things. Many people should look down upon people who use performance-enhancing drugs, and call them “cheaters”.

If a teenager takes these drugs and they are not done growing it may harm his or her growth.

An athlete who uses these substances endangers their health, some risks are minor and some can be fatal. Some of these risks are dehydration, muscle cramps, exhaustion, dizziness, potassium deficiency, heart arrhythmias, drop in blood pressure, damage kidneys and/or liver, but most serious of all death. If an athlete came across any of these things then it could potentially hurt their athletic career.
