My favorite musical is "". This musical horror story
is exciting, scary and has wonderful music. The original play was written
by Christopher Bond II.
The story is about a barber who is deported unjustly by a judge.
Years later he returns to London to find his wife and daughter. He changes
his name from Benjamin Barker to and moves into a room over a
shop that sells meat pies. He makes friends with the woman who owns the
shop, Nellie Lovett. She helps him get his revenge on Judge Turpin.
Sweeney goes back to being a barber. But he uses his skill to kill
his enemies. Then Mrs. Lovett makes them into meat pies. Her meat pies
become the most popular on London!

Although what Sweeney Todd does is wrong, I did feel sorry for him.
He had lost his family and lost his mind also. Mrs. Lovett helped him for
two reasons. She needed the money and she fell in love with him.
I first saw this musical when I was very young. It is still one of
my favorites. George Hearn plays Sweeney Todd and his singing is great.
But it is Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett that I like best.
