Teachings of Jesus during His Year of Popularity

Jesus’ Galilean ministry was a very successful ministry that lasted for eighteen months. It started in A.D. 27 and ended in A.D. 29. When he returned to Galilee He learned how His teachings and miracles had already spread among the people. There he began his first steps towards acquiring the Twelve (disciples). With gathering a few of His disciples, He had them follow Him and help him carry out His ministry through Galilee by miracles and teachings throughout the land.

accepted. No one was supposed to work on the Sabbath. So when Jesus healed the sick or made the lame walk the Pharisees were outraged since He performed some of these miracles on the Sabbath. Just like when a few of Jesus’ disciples pulled grain from the fields to eat when they were ministering to the people the Pharisees called this work. But overall besides the Pharisees and the chief priests Jesus and His disciples were accepted very well and Jesus’ teachings were very favorable in the people’s eyes. They were amazed and in awe when Jesus performed His miracles. They would sit and listen to His teachings and the word that He wanted to share with them in such amazement that they did not want to leave His side.

Because the woman loved Jesus so much by showing her love by pleading for forgiveness and washing Jesus’ feet out of humility and love He forgave her and told her that her sins were forgiven and her faith had saved her. Again this showed the Pharisees and His followers that it did not matter who it was that if a person asked for forgiveness out of love and coming to Him that He would forgive them no matter what the sin they had committed was at that time and place.
