He then commits a heinous act which puts his wife's lover in the hospital and eventually kills him. Then he chooses the least honorable reaction as he skips town and telling only his closest friend of his whereabouts. 's conversion begins as soon as he begins to become accustomed to life without an adoring audience. Throughout the film, he is an honestly good and decent man around those he is closest to. However, when he would get around a crowd who would act out his every whim, he became drunk with his own power. Although after his "rebirth", so to speak, he found himself around people who treated him just like anyone else. And as the saying goes, "You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone.". Slowly but surely, his conversion began to take place. He started to worry more about forming a genuine church ...
