of New American Academy of Pediatrics social media guidelines, Facebook (or social networks) may make teenagers depressed by showing other teenagers who are popular, therefore they feel that they do not compare to them and this in turn causes them to become depressed. We always hear that social networks are causing teenagers to become lazy and self-centered.
Social networks do not cause teenagers to become self-absorbed or become depressed. In fact they benefit us in many ways, but first let us discuss why social networks do not cause teenagers to become narcissistic, or become depressed. Looking back at Klemm's essay we can see that he does not use any statistic evidence to support his beliefs. Instead he uses a quote: ""I don't need to learn.
