The book I choose to read for my summer reading this year was The Great Gatsby. The book was such a great read for me. While reading it I was not able to put it down because of every little detail in it, which made it interesting. The movie, on the other hand, to me wasn’t as great as the book of course but I just couldn’t get the emotional feel that I got during the book. The movie and book had many similarities but also a few slight changes and also dropped some of the content from the book.

attractive, this made it seem less intriguing when Tom wanted to date a woman who is the complete opposite of daisy.
There were many character scenes and minor scenes that were left out of the book that actually made a difference in the movies all around plot. One of these parts left out in the movie was that Gatsby was never a working man. This is shown because they never once commented or showed Dan Cody. Another example is Nick never got to meet James Gats; in the book there is an actual scene where Gatsby told Nick his real name was James Gats. Lastly, Owl Eyes was never once shown in the movie. This is a bad thing because they didn’t show him trying to sober up in the library which never showed the soft side of Gatsby. These little characters or scenes that were left out were stapled to my mind while I was watching the book, and I was excited to see Nick’s impression when he told him his real name, and to see what Owl Eyes actually looked like.
