become famous and wealthy to get back the love of his life, Zelda. They both had wild parties and socialized frequently. Both were widely known became well known.

Fitzgerald clearly demonstrated his problems with love through Gatsby in the novel. Fitzgerald was known to have been let down by many women who would not date him because he wasn't of a higher class. When he met Zelda and he saw her feistiness, he knew that was the girl and he couldn't let her go. He began to work much harder. The same thing is the case for Gatsby but it occurs after Daisy has already left him. He begins to deal with crime related business to gain wealth to impress. Women were always the top priority for Gatsby and Fitzgerald. When Zelda had a nervous breakdown it took a major impact on Fitzgerald's life. All of Gatsby's parties were in fact to hopefully get Daisy to see Gatsby's wealth.
