Democracy means that each person has the right to choose their government and vote for the laws and policies they want. Voting is the single most important thing a citizen in a free democracy can do. This is because one should be thankful for the government they have and take advantage of their opportunities, one should have a say in what goes on in their community and they should not be ignorant of what decisions are being mad and lastly, one should vote because it would allow for good decisions to be made.

people encounter every day. If people do not vote, they do not get to have a say in whether these places get built, how they are run and who they are accessible to. If they want to have the lives they hope to have, they need to take the initiative to vote for whatever it is that they need.
If the government makes all the decisions without the input the people, good decisions will not be made. This is because the people in the government do not live like ordinary people do, and they do not know what the people really need. Having to compete for a place in the government also causes the people running to understand what the people want, so they can get the votes. Therefore, having people vote on the candidates causes candidates to get educated on what is needed, and thus, the things that are needed will be completed.
