A crimson carpet had spread across the veranda which the rented trumpets men stood on, with a few bored blows through the mouthpiece every couple of minutes. Many folk came to admire the grand arrangements and although it was the same old cottage they passed by every morning in through the village, today it mirrored a castle instead. As the cold night came, they both lay on the bed when Mrs. Hopkins discreetly tried to snuggle a hand on Mr. Hopkins side.
