The Journey Of A Worn Path

The story took place in the winter, during Christmas in the late 1940's. Ms Natchez walked a path that only her feet knew. Although the journey was long, she never gave up on the trip. Ms. Natchez takes this trip every year around this time. Her journey to the hospital is for her grandson who swallowed lye. Her grandsons throat has swollen up again and he need the medicine to be able to breathe. Ms. Natchez leaves him at home by himself when she goes and fetches the medicine from the hospital. She faces many obstacles when she takes this journey, but how bad could ...

then Black people where afraid of white people and what they were capable of. The old white man babbled on about nothing telling Ms. Natchez that she doesn't need to be walking alone on this old trail. It really bothered the old White Man just too she a black woman on a mission to the town. The old White man didn't even open his mouth to ask Ms. Natchez did she need a ride. That would have been the most polite thing to do. The old White man really didn't have the heart to help an old black lady out in that period of time. That's where the obstacle of racism comes in at in the story.
Ms. Natchez was an old lady who had hallucinations from time to time. It wasn't her brightest idea to be taking this journey with that type of medical condition. She also walked slow and had back pain. On that journey it caused a lot of wear and tear on her body. She kept complaining about her old body giving out as she wobbled back and forth on her journey.
