I’m not the biggest Studio Ghibli fan and I’ve only watched about 5 films, 3 of which I barely remember. So obviously I won’t be able to take away much from the documentary compared to others. And as a elder, there are things in the world that Hayao Miyazaki sees that I won’t be able to understand, at least now. But if I were to list a few things that were most memorable to my shallow mind, one of them would definitely be how Hayao Miyazaki’s reality influences his art.

It’s shown in the documentary that Miyazaki lived through a time of war which sparked his interest in the zero plane. He seems to have this perfect imagine and ideal view of the the plane and couldn’t draw ...
