In this essay I will try to introduce the traditional dances of Korea. Although I spent just few years of my life in Korea, I heard and saw a lot of the traditional dances in Korea. Korean peoples have always a deep love for music and dance. Korean traditional dances are in a form of art. They express the emotions that they couldn't express in every day life. Korean dance has accurate expression and free movements. Last year I saw t'alchum on television, which is one of the famous Korean dances. and lively. Folk dances are that's why danced usually in festivals or holidays. The religious dances represent the Korean culture and spirit. The performers in Buddhist Nun's Dance, which is a religious dance, are wearing long dark coats and pointed Hoods and hold a temple drum. I personally don't like the dance, although it Is one of popular traditional dances. It doesn't have much movements and the music sounds like the one in a ceremony.
In my family no one is really perfect in Korean dancing. But sometimes when we have a big festival or a national holiday the elders in my family dance bu-tsche-cum ( fan dance).
