Euthanasia: the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease or in an irreversible coma. Adolf Hitler used all of those terms to describe the killing of the mentally ill and disabled people from 1939 to 1945. After becoming chancellor of Germany in 1933, his Nazi government gained power and began promoting their ideas. Under the command of Adolf Hitler, the Nazi Party ruled Germany from 1933 to 1945.
