The characters of each story can be related in some way even though they are complete opposites. The author for "The handsomest drowned man in the World" made the character extremely tall and dead. Everyone accepted him as one of their own and even had a funeral for him, which is extremely strange for the culture since they alway throw the dead off the cliff. As in "Smallest woman in the world" she was very small, alive and got walked on throughout the whole story. She was looked at as a disgusting monster and was talked about as if it were an animal. One thing that was strange was the give name she had, 'little flower' considering she was not represented as a flower at all.
