Is the dreaded Y2K bug real or fake? Should we stock pile up on food, energy, and supplies? Should we rush to the bank and take all of our money out? Food is one essential thing that is crucial to survival and many people think that we may need lots of canned and dry goods. As in any crisis situation, some believe that the worst will happen: We will all die, go to war, or the world will explode, etc. Then again, others think that maybe we should be prepared just in case all of our electricity goes out and we have no way to store our goods. Personally, I believe that we have prepared enough to the point where even if we do have the power go out, I think it will only be a matter of hours, if not less, before it is restored. Some affects of the bug such as credit card problems and electrical problems. But the problems are minor compared to others. Assuming the worst is human nature, if the worst happens then we will be a society of chaos. However, computer developers are currently working on re-building their computers to be Y2K compliant, costing big name computer companies millions in fees.
