Examining Okonkwo, we can see how many men of the Ibo society may have mistreated their wives, verbally, mentally, and physically. Through the hateful comments, threats, putdowns, and beatings, it is not hard to see why the majority of the Ibo women are less interactive or â€śout thereâ€ť than the Ibo men.
