To Kill A Mockingbird: A Movie Review



The film To Kill A Mockingbird is produced in 1964. The main actors in the
film are as follows: Gregory Peck, Atticus Finch; Ms. Maudie Atkinson,
Rosemary Murphy; Jean Louise ‘Scout' Finch, Mary Badham; Jeremy ‘Jem' Finch,
Philip Afford; Arthur ‘Boo' Radley, Robert Duvall and Heck Tate, Brock
Peters. The Music Director in the film is Elmer Bernstain, the
Screenwriter is Horton Foote, and the script is an adaptation from the book,
To Kill A Mockingbird, written by Harper Lee.

The story is about basic life in the 1930's in a small Southern town. It
is based around the Finch family, and their actions. The children, Scout
and Jem, have very inquisitive minds, and the story follows them ...

slightly forced, and unnatural. The language and vocabulary that were
utilized throughout the film I found to be fitting the characters. With
the acting, I was not impressed, however. It seemed to me that the acting
was very novice and awkward. Gregory Peck was the only actor that I felt
had much offerable talent in performing. I was disappointed by this aspect
to the movie. I did feel that the characters were believable, though. It
was obvious that the directing in this film was well done. The ideas
flowed together quite adequately, and were well presented in most aspects
of the movie. This I found was one of the best parts of the overall movie.

I felt that the technical aspects of the movie were mediocre. They were
nothing overly extravagant, but in general they I thought they were
adequate. The music was very well done. It fit very well into every scene,
and consistently set a respectable mood for the viewers to follow the
