Scholars have argued the simple mistake especially in writing of numbers or misprint could cause confusion about what the apparatus says about these two verses. For example, Fitzmyer asserts that the verses are omitted by "0171*" but included by "0171 (corrector). "0171" here seems to be a mistake for 1071: according to the UBS apparatus 1071* omits the verses, but they are added in the margin. 1071 is a 12[th] century minuscule manuscript of some interest, but 0171 is potentially a more significant witness, being a third century uncial manuscript of some importance.
