she was about to fall asleep. Suddenly, she felt her lover lift the quilt mildly. Then she heard him walking on the floor like a cat with bare feet to keep quiet. She opened her eyes and sat up. Surprised to find her husband took out her stash of sleeping pills. Her husband's shadow lay on the floor, stretching to the bedside. It dawned on her that the sleeping pills she taken were vitamin tablets engraved with "valium" forged by her husband. When my mother told me this story, her mouth would be filled with a happy smile.
