I would not consider myself a feminist or an extremist, but, rather, a concerned teenager who is disgusted by the ever intensifying scandalous media. When you go to a movie theater and see all of the movies that are playing, you really have to wonder how many of those movies do not abuse woman sexuality. You listen to hit songs that my age group and younger are singing and dancing to and do not even wonder what kinds of references are being made. Sex, drugs, alcohol, and even violence. Why are people portraying themselves as transcendent when they participate in such riotous acts? had a great music career with faithful fans, girls ages 3-14. Hannah Montana was important to girls growing up especially in their delicate days as pre-teenagers when they are the most influenced. Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) came out with a new hit song, and the music video was so dirty that it was being bashed by the people on Good Morning America! They showed a clip of the music video, and I was appalled; I could not fathom something so morally rotten. Why can we not go back to the basics of entertainment? There are people partaking in private activities of all sorts in movies and videos that are apparently bringing in billions of dollars! Sex sells. Unfortunately, this is the truth. We, as a people, have hit a moral rock bottom, and it seems as if no individual in this country can be entertained without seeing eroticism of some sort. I, personally, do not even bother.
