This paper will analyze working in the media, more specifically working in the movies. Since I can not go to Los Angeles or New York to watch people work, I decided to watch the movie Good Will Hunting; and in the following paragraphs I will analyze how that movie portrays working.
The movie Good Will Hunting portrays working in two ways, it is either menial work, or it is educated work. In this paragraph, I will explain how the movie portrays the menial work. When I say menial work, I mean work that anyone can do. It is the work that, someone without an education does. It is the work that the lower class people do, such as hard labor work, or janitorial work, things in that area. ...

movie is the educated type of work. In this paragraph, I will show how the movie portrays educated work. Educated work is the work of scholars, people who have graduated college, the educated people. These people will have the best jobs, the biggest houses, and the nicest things. Unlike the menial work, the only physical labor these people will have to do at work is to get up from their desks to go to the bathroom. For example, the man who discovers Will Hunting’s talents is Gerald Lambo, a professor at Harvard University. He teaches his lesson for the day and when he is done with his lesson, he leaves, and has his assistant take care of the questions the students might have. He feels he is too good to be questioned by the students. After Gerald discovers Will Hunting’s talents, he takes the boy under his wing for his own reasons, and does not really care too much for him at first. He wants to see what the boy can offer him, so he can become famous for finding the boy’s ...
