 This study was to investigate the relevance between junior high school English teachersˇ¦ professional perception and teaching effectiveness. The research methods in this study adopted are survey research and interviews. Questionnaires were mailed to 600 English teachers of junior high schools and complete schools of Tainan city, Tainan country, Kaohsiung city, Kaohsiung country and Ping-Tung country in Taiwan. The response rate was 80.8% and the usable rate was 76.5%.
